This workshop addresses the roles and responsibilities of a nonprofit board member, including board operations, strategic planning, resource development, oversight and ambassadorship. It also gives a short introduction to the nonprofit world, including structuring, funding and functioning as a mission-based organization. This workshop also introduces attendees to boardnetUSA, a free, national, online database that connects candidates and nonprofits. This is great for people that have recently joined a nonprofit board or are thinking about exploring volunteering for boards.
